Spring driven German striking Vienna Wall Clock. The clock is in excellent overall condition and was serviced in July 2020, (so in fine working order) and comes with an Antiquitatum guarantee.
The Mahogany and glass case with hinged front door has good age patination and wonderfully hand-crafted embellishment, including a hand-carved portico shaped apex with additional finial garniture, base features and delightfully sculptured and fluted ebonised side half-columns.
The original clean white enamel two-piece dial has black Roman numerals and a pair of original blued steel hands, all surrounded by a moulded brass bezel.
The clocks quality 8-day German movement is a spring and pendulum driven mechanism, that strikes the hours and half-hours on its coiled gong and comes with its original gridiron regulator pendulum rod with brass bob, a porcelain aperture beat plaque and an authentic period winding key.
