Delightful, well-proportioned English striking Mantel Clock by Garrard Clocks Ltd of Swindon. (One of the UK's most sought-after and collectable of vintage clock makers).

The clocks distinctively grained Oak case (numbered 86047), has decorative fluted features overlaid on each side of the clock front, offering simple yet stylish handcrafting that helps provide the clock with excellent balance and sophistication without overpowering.

The clocks clean, effective and “Garrard” signed skeleton chrome dial has Arabic numerals and lies directly on top of the case, finished with a pair of chrome Heavy Double Swell Spade hands secured by a threaded collet. These are protected by clean convex glass mounted in a chrome bezel.

The fantastically reliable, and quality Garrard 14-day pendulum driven striking movement, has lacquered and concentrically snailed plates, the backplate being stamped with the famous Garrard logo, “Made in England”, and two 1931 Patents. The clock strikes the hours and half-hours on its original gong block and coiled gong.

Sold with an authentic (probably original) Garrard signed adjustable spring-loaded chrome pendulum bob and its chrome winding key and comes with a copy of Garrard’s original 'Instructions for setting Garrard Clocks in Beat.

This is a wonderful high-quality clock in immaculate condition, from one of England’s finest ever clock makers.
