Here is a fabulous striking Mantle Clock with a mechanical pendulum movement by Garrard Clocks Ltd of Swindon, one of England's finest 20th Century clock makers.

The clocks excellent Oak case with clean simple lines and numbered 86005, has stunning tiger stripe graining with two hand-carved reeded side panels. These have been stained in black to produce a balanced contrast to the light Oak case.

The clocks clean, effective and “Garrard” signed chrome chapter ring dial has black Arabic numerals and lies directly on top of the case, finished with a pair of chrome Heavy Double Swell Spade hands secured by a threaded collet. These are protected by convex glass mounted in a chrome bezel.

The clock has Garrard’s reliable 14-day pendulum driven striking movement, (with Serial Number S43534, helping to date the clock). The lacquered and concentrically snailed backplate is also stamped “Made in England” with the famous Garrard brand logo and two 1931 Patents. The clock strikes the hours and half-hours on its original gong block and coil.

Sold with the clocks original Garrard signed adjustable spring-loaded chrome pendulum bob and chrome winding key. It also comes with a copy of Garrard’s original 'Instructions for setting Garrard Clocks in Beat.
